Special Saturday Stud – Chadwick Johnson!

Last week I had a post about some of our non-white guys that are part of Team Mega Muscle and I got bombarded with requests for more shots of Chadwick.  Well, ask and you shall receive (depending on my mood of course!).  It’s a beautiful San Franicsco morning, I am ready to enjoy this weekend and what better way than sharing some hot muscled Chadwick Johnson with all of you!  Chadwick comes to us from Pasadena, California and his presence is fucking amazing!  You can see many more uncensored shots of Chadwick on the Mega Muscle members’ site but here is a little something to help you wake up on this beautiful Saturday morning!

Mega Muscle presents: The Men of Scandinavia!

First there was Ikea.  Gorgeous, stylish products for the home that everyone loves.  Shortly thereafter came H&M, fantastic clothes that everyone loves.

Now, I am thrilled to announce that Mega Muscle is bringing you the next gorgeous import from Scandinavia… THE MEN!

In an exclusive deal that I have just signed with photographer Franz Fleissner, Mega Muscle Productions will now be bringing you The Men of Scandinavia.  These Nordic Gods will be joining the already amazing lineup of hot Mega Muscle guys already featured in the Mega Muscle Members Site and beginning this winter, Mega Muscle will also be presenting full length DVDs featuring these viking hunks!

Photographer Franz Fleissner approached me a few years ago about a partnership and I instantly started trying to figure out how to make it happen.  Franz is a visionary and in the past ten years, has gone from taking photos as a hobby to being one of the most sought fitness and fine art photographers in the world.  His work has been published in 8 different books, countless magazine editorials and he is constantly working on new advertising campaigns for companies on both sides of the Atlantic.  He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts School in Sweden and realized after his studies there that he found a new new passion (some would call it an obsession) in photography.   He started his first photographic projects in 1995.  Having a background in fine art Franz found his inspiration in the great masters of painting and soon adapted the classical lighting as used when sculpting and painting.  He also found the genre which inspired him the most – the male body accentuated as “macho”.  Fortunately for this young photographer, it also turned out that his home, Sweden, was the perfect base for this genre with an excellent range of good looking people.

With the exception of perhaps MegaMuscle.com, , I would say that the Men of Scandinavia has one of the finest collections of models I have ever seen and I am thrilled that Mega Muscle will now be presenting them for the world to see!

Happy Hump Day!

Some days you just know are going to be good.  I woke up this morning in my sun filled room in San Francisco after an amazing night’s sleep.  Today I get to work from home so I already knew it was going to be better than most.  My two dogs rushed up and licked my face to say “good morning”.  What a beautiful day!

I opened the door of my bedroom and in my hallway stood one of my favorite people – 6′3″, rock-solid muscled Joey McElroy.  He was coming out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel.  I had completely forgot that he popped by my house late last night on his way home from visiting his family down south.  Joey is one of my favorite models.  After running out for coffee and catching up for a couple of hours, he and his friend took off to head toward Healdsburg for some wine-tasting.

I know that most of you did not get to wake up to a Mega Muscle model coming out of your shower so I figured the least I could do was share a little Joey McElroy with all of you to help you through to the weekend – Happy Hump Day!

MegaMuscle.com – more than just hot white dudes!

Every once in awhile, fans will ask why we only work with white guys here at Mega Muscle.  Nothing could be farther from the truth!  My goal is to have the hottest guys anywhere be on the Mega Muscle team and I think the guys we have are just that.

There was a time when we did primarily work with white guys.  When we launched Mega Muscle, we only worked with local guys and at the time, local was Portland, Oregon which, if you have ever been, is not exactly a melting pot.

When we were booking models with fine art photographers, most of them would only book white dudes but it didn’t stop me from signing on the guys I thought were the best.

We have at times had some cultural issues with finding guys of all ethnicities.  Many of the Asian models we meet do not want to do the kind of work we do at Mega Muscle. (Side Note – if you are an amazing Asian model, contact me!)  I think that the guys we have, of all races, are really spectacular and I appreciate the contributions every one of them has made to the continued success of Mega Muscle!

Introducing Mega Muscle’s newest photographer

You probably all know someone like this – that person who decides they want to do something and then they just excel at it.  I have a person like this in my life.  Those of you that have attended Mega Muscle events probably already know him.  He’s that guy that is always right on top of whatever you need but never in the way.  He can make Lucas’ hair that perfect color of blonde, create an apocalyptic world with some shears and old fur coats, throw together a male review at a moments notice, and still make sure everything stays clean, organized and relatively sane.

He is simply…  Kenny.

Kenny Wujek for those of you not so intimate with the inner workings of Team Mega Muscle.  I first met Kenny when I was working for Rodale Publications and he owned this amazing boutique in downtown Portland.  Our friendship grew from there and he also became my hair stylist.  When he sold his store a few years ago, I needed a stylist to come on a high-concept shoot that we were doing in the desert just North of the Mexican border and thought he would be perfect.  Okay, moment of truth – my motivatin was two-fold.  I also was able to steal him off a job he was scheduled to do with my former business partner and that gave me immense pleasure. From that trip on, Kenny became an integral part of everything that Mega Muscle does and he worked closely with me on every trip we have had since.

Well now Kenny Wujek has a new position at Mega Muscle – that of photographer!

I admit it, I do get jealous of Kenny sometimes because everything he does he just does so well.  But I have a gift too – that of recognizing talent and taking full advantage of it!  Knowing that Kenny would be an amazing photographer was a given.  But now I am happy to share the results of the beginnings of his work with us.  I am so grateful that I have been able to lean on him to help out with all of our Mega Muscle projects but now I am ecstatic to share with the world his  latest photographic endeavors – I hope all of you love them as much as I do!

Drew Cutler pops up at Mega Muscle Expo in Palm Springs!

You just never know who or what is going to pop up when Mega Muscle hits the road on one of our big trips.  Take our most recent trip to Palm Springs.  We were there for the expo but I had received a message from porn star Drew Cutler – a friend of mine from Twitter – telling me he was going to be in the area and asking if he could tag along on our workshops.  Drew showed up and man I tell you, he was so hot, we couldn’t help but start shooting him along with all the other Mega Muscle guys that were there.

Here is a peak at the first set of shots of Drew when we were shooting at the old Western Town near Indian Hot Springs.  Some of you may have seen these shots already because these were the same shots that helped Drew clinch the title of Hottest Body from AtomicMen.com!

David Fox and Yvan Cournoyer show you how to get motivated to work out with the help of your buddy!

You have just come off a long weekend of relaxing, eating, drinking and now Monday roles around and the last thing you want to do is get your ass out of bed to workout.  When you reach this point of being to lazy to leave your bed, it might be time to start working out with a buddy!  Buddy workouts give you the incentive to get to the gym or wherever you work out because you have made the commitment to connect.  Having a workout partner is great as you help each other to push past your limits for mass and definition and can also be there to help each other with safety.  Best thing about a workout buddy?  If you find the right one, you can always continue afterward for a little post gym cardio!

I know!  I missed a Hump Day – I suck.  In my defense I had meetings in Hollywood last Wednesday and then I had to drive a 12 passenger van through a torrential downpour between Santa Monica and San Francisco.  When I finally got to return my van to Thrifty at Oakland Airport, they actually made me clean my own rental car!!!  I could understand if it was out of control dirty but honestly, it was just some pieces of grass and some empty water bottles.  Because of this I am declaring jihad on Thrifty and urge all of you to rent from Fox or Dollar or someone else – they totally suck!
But I digress.  I obviously had a rough Hump Day last week and never got around to it.  Oh how can I ever make it up to you?  How about with ALL NEW photos of everyone’s favorite Mormon – Eric Turner!  All of these photos are by Mega Muscle’s very own Anthony Duran and were photographed last week at the Mega Muscle Photo Expo in Palm Springs.

Mark Jenkins breaks in Mega Muscle newbie Trace Wray

One of my favorite things about the Mega Muscle events is getting to see hot guys turn into models.  One such example happened last week at the Mega Muscle Expo in Palm Springs when first time, never-ever modeled Trace Wray was paired up with photographer extraordinaire Mark Jenkins.  Trace contacted me about six weeks ago wanting to break into modeling.  With just his web cam photos that he had taken that day for me to make a decision, something in my gut said this guy was special.

So I took a chance and brought Trace to work with us in Palm Springs.  Man, am I glad I did!  His very first shoot was with Mark and you would think based on these shots that he had been doing this for years.  I want to welcome Trace to Team Mega Muscle and send out a very special thanks to Mark Jenkins for being gentle when he busted Trace’s model cherry.
